ScreenVid Pro ("the extension") is a screen recorder for Google Chrome that runs entirely in your browser. It is published by YACCO USA LLC.
Recordings
Video and audio you record are stored only on your own computer, inside the browser's private file storage for this extension. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party. You can delete them at any time from "My recordings".
Microphone and camera
Used only while you record, and only if you turn them on. Webcam video and AI virtual backgrounds are processed on your computer and are never uploaded.
Click positions (auto zoom)
When you record a browser tab with auto zoom enabled, the extension notes the on-screen position and time of your clicks and of the text fields you type in. It never records the keys you press or the text you type. This data is stored with the recording on your computer and is used only to create zoom effects.
Permissions
tabCapture,activeTab,scripting: to record the tab you choose and track click positions in it.storage,unlimitedStorage: to save your settings and recordings locally.- Optional access to all sites: only if you enable it, so auto zoom keeps working after you navigate to another website during a recording.
Payments
Pro purchases are processed by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com) and Stripe. We receive your email address and payment status only to unlock Pro features. We never see your card details.
Data sharing
We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, do not use it for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose, and do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Analytics
The extension contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
